Health Precautions

Breathwork can be a powerful and transformative practice—but it’s important to understand how it may affect your body and mind. Please review the following information before participating in a session to ensure it’s appropriate and safe for you.

Possible Side Effects

While most people experience breathwork as relaxing or energizing, you may also experience temporary physical or emotional responses. These can include:

  • Physical discomfort (e.g., dizziness, lightheadedness, tingling)

  • Tetany (muscle cramping, especially in the hands or face)

  • Hyperventilation (rapid breathing that may temporarily alter blood chemistry)

  • Visualizations or hallucinations (as a result of entering altered states)

  • Emotional or energetic release (such as crying, laughter, or waves of emotion)

These experiences are generally short-lived and often part of the body’s natural release process. You are encouraged to take breaks, slow your breath, or stop if needed.
