Hi, I'm
Laura

The Gap Between Looking and Feeling

From the outside, my life looked like I had it all figured out.

I'm a physician, married with two school-aged kids we homeschool. The picture of success.

But there was a gap between how things looked and how they felt. I was exhausted in a way sleep couldn't touch. Stressed in a way that self-care routines couldn't quite reach. Living in my head, unable to turn off the constant loop of worry and hypervigilance.

I knew something needed to shift- not just in my circumstances, but in how I was moving through the world.

What I Discovered

I started exploring mind-body practices and trained with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. I began understanding how chronic stress lives in our bodies, how our nervous systems hold patterns we can't think our way out of.

That exhaustion I'd been carrying? It wasn't just about being busy. It was about living disconnected from my body, stuck in constant overthinking and hypervigilance.

Then I discovered breathwork.

My first experience was profound- it reached something deeper than other practices I'd tried. It wasn't just about relaxation. It was about accessing parts of myself I couldn't think my way to.

I knew this was the work I needed to be doing- for myself, and eventually, for others.

Where I Am Now

Today, I run two businesses that reflect the life I've been building for myself.

I practice lifestyle medicine and health coaching- bringing a preventive, whole-person approach to healthcare that actually honors people's humanity. And I run Be Well Center, where I facilitate breathwork, meditation, and group experiences for people navigating their own version of what I lived through.

I'm certified as a breathwork facilitator and integration coach through Elemental Rhythm (currently completing my final certification requirements), completed professional and advanced training with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, and I'm a certified health coach through Wellcoaches.

This work is personal for me because I'm living it too. I'm still discovering new layers, still choosing differently, still growing. And I think that's what makes this work real- none of us are "done." We're all just learning to come home to ourselves, one step at a time.

Why I Do This

I help high-achieving perfectionists close the gap between external success and internal peace.

The people whose lives look impressive but feel hollow. Who've tried thinking their way through, optimizing their way out, achieving their way to worthiness- and are finally ready to try something different.

My approach combines breathwork, meditation, coaching, and music in a way that helps you drop out of your head and reconnect with your body, your truth, yourself. In group settings, we add journaling and gentle movement to deepen the experience and build community.

This isn't about adding another achievement to your resume. It's about remembering you're not a problem to be solved.

The Whole Picture

Outside of this work, I'm a mom who loves being a mom. I homeschool my kids, which is its own adventure. I love exercise, yoga, travel, and exploring outdoors- especially in new places.

I live in central Pennsylvania with my family (and the dog).

And I'm still figuring it out, one imperfect step at a time. Which is exactly the point.
